After all, the lack of electricity in the network means that the surgeon will not be able to perform an emergency operation, the production departments will stop and the power units will shut off (and this also carries a high threat to human life and health). In general, if we talk pathetically, then GRES (the abbreviation interpretation implies a state district power station) is a tireless creator of life on our planet. Technical development of the station

In September 2015, the station management announced the launch of the use of a new technology - environmentally friendly coal combustion. Energy workers call it a circulating fluidized bed.

The essence of the plan is as follows. During the combustion of coal in the boiler, the temperature will be maintained no higher than 900 degrees, which is two times lower than the usual temperature conditions for such a process. Due to this, the duration of coal burning will not be four minutes, but forty minutes. Due to this, the fuel will be burned completely, thereby reducing the release of harmful elements into the atmosphere and the environment.

Thus, Novocherkasskaya GRES will be the first power plant in Russia to use this technology. The launch of the reconstructed power unit for this purpose is scheduled for the first quarter of 2016.

The power of Siberia

Berezovskaya GRES is practically the youngest coal station of the whole Siberian region. The beginning of its full functioning dates back to 1987. In our time, the power station is about 1550 MW (according to other data 1600 MW).

By the way, this state district power station has a unique fuel supply system. The bulk of the coal used goes to the station from the Berezovskoye field of the Kansk-Achinsk basin. To do this, use two fourteen-kilometer open conveyor, which in its own way are the most complex units, even despite the standard version.

The power plant was initially included in the work of the energy system of Siberia. The share of this industrial facility accounts for about 6% of all electricity in the region. And if you take only the Krasnoyarsk Territory, where it is built, then this figure will already be about 20%.

Operational problems and their solution

Due to the fact that in the course of this GRES operation (decoding of the abbreviated name is absolutely identical to all other similar power plants), the slagging process of the working surfaces of the boilers occurred, its power was somewhat reduced. However, the engineering building of the station found a way out. A whole range of measures was developed and implemented, which allowed increasing the capacity of the boilers used. To do this, they began to apply new systems for diagnostics of slagging and automatic water-blown control. As a result, January 2006 was marked by the withdrawal of the station to a new operating capacity.

Also a distinctive feature of the power plant is its chimney, whose height is equal to 370 meters. To this day, this object is considered the highest in the entire territory of the Russian Federation. In addition, at the station there was a place and non-standard engineering solutions. So, the pulverized coal boiler has a unique wiring diagram - it was hung up and fixed on special ridge beams having a reinforced profile.

It is also noteworthy that during the construction of the station, an artificial Bereskoye reservoir was created, which today has become home to such fish as the ruff, pike, crucian carp, carp, silver carp.
