Hugo Lloris is a French football player, currently playing for the English "Tottenham". He is thirty years old, but he still does not even think about retirement. The fact is that Hugo Lloris is a goalkeeper, and in this position thirty years is the most flourishing of the forces.
Hugo Lloris was born on December 26, 1986 in the French city of Nice, where he started playing football. Already at the age of seven he joined the football academy of a small local club "Simie", where he spent four years. When he was eleven, Hugo went through the viewing in the main club of the city "Nice" and joined the new football academy. There he had already spent seven years until he turned eighteen - then he signed a professional contract with the club.
Already in 2004 he began to play for the club's double and played there 20 matches when he started calling in the main team. In the first season, he defended only ten matches, but all had already noticed what a huge talent grew in the school "Nice". Already in 2006, Hugo Lloris became the club's main goalkeeper, although he was only 19 years old. Over the next two seasons he went on the field 67 times and performed so well that attracted the attention of one of the largest clubs in the country - "Lyon".
Going to Lyon
For 20 years of talent, "Lyon" paid eight and a half million euros - of course, it was a worthwhile waste. It's enough just to look at how actively the new football form was being sold. Hugo Lloris was regarded as a new Fabienne Barthez, so the acquisition of one of the country's greatest talents was a very sensible move by the leadership of the "Lyon".
Despite the fact that he was only twenty, Lloris immediately got into the starting lineup of the club and in the first season he played 46 matches, conceding only 43 goals. In Lion, Hugo Lloris, whose biography was at that time incredibly successful, spent four seasons in which he entered the field 199 times, conceding 217 goals. This figure was very outstanding, and already in the French club goalkeeper was able to reach the world level. Naturally, he could not stay long in the weakest and least popular of the five top European championships. Therefore, in the summer of 2012, Lloris signed a contract with the English "Tottenham", which became for him a kind of house.
"Lyon" for this transfer received thirteen million euros, but in addition to financial profits, Lloris also helped the team win the French Cup in 2012, just before leaving.
The game for Tottenham Hotspur
Hugo Lloris is a top-class footballer, one of the strongest goalkeepers in the world, and he became such at Tottenham. Yes, he became known in the days of performances for the "Lyon", but at the highest level was able to go to England. To date, he spent four seasons for the British club, in which he played 168 matches and conceded 192 goals. As for the current season, he is still one of the best in the career of a football player. He played 25 matches, conceded only 19 goals, and in ten games he kept his goal intact.
Will Lloris leave Tottenham for promotion, because here he still has not won a single trophy? Goalkeeper, and part-time team captain, answered this question less than a month ago, signing a new agreement with the English club, calculated until 2022.
National team appearances
In the French national team Hugo Lloris debuted in November 2008, when he was only 22 years old. He was called in the team even earlier, in September, but sat three matches on the bench. For the first time he was given a chance in a friendly match with Uruguay, which he defended "to zero." Since that moment he played in 85 matches for the French national team, conceding only 52 goals. In 32 of 85 matches France did not miss. After his debut, Ugo spent some time on the bench, but from the summer of 2009 he started to start in the starting lineup on a permanent basis.
At the 2010 World Championship, he went already as the main goalkeeper, and in November 2010 first tried on the captain's armband. Since 2012, Lloris has already been the permanent captain of the team - in this status he went to the European Championship 2012. Lloris was also the main goalkeeper of the French team at the World Cup 2014, and at home European Championship-2016 became one of the main stars. In seven games, he missed only five goals and became one of the key factors that the French team reached the finals, where they lost to Portugal.
