Hugo Lloris is a French footballer currently playing for the English Tottenham. He is thirty years old, but he still does not even think about the completion of his career. The fact is that Hugo Lloris is a goalkeeper, and in this position thirty years is the very prime of life.

Carier start

French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris

Ugo Lloris was born on December 26, 1986 in the French city of Nice, where he began to play football. Already at the age of seven he joined the football academy of the small local club “Simie”, where he spent four years. When he was eleven, Hugo passed a review in the main club of the city “Nice” and joined the new football academy. There he had already spent seven years, until he was eighteen - then he signed a professional contract with the club.

Already in 2004, he began to play for the double of the club and spent there 20 games, when he began to call the main team. In the first season, he defended only ten matches, but everyone had already noticed what a huge talent grew in the school “Nice”. Already in 2006, Hugo Lloris became the club's main goalkeeper, although he was only 19 years old. Over the next two seasons, he entered the field 67 times and played so well that he attracted the attention of one of the largest clubs in the country - Lion.

Go to "Lyon"

For the 20-year-old talent, Lyon paid eight and a half million euros - naturally, it was a worthwhile waste. Just look at how actively the new football uniform was being sold. Hugo Lloris was considered as a new Fabien Barthez, therefore the acquisition of one of the country's largest talents was a very sensible step on the part of the Lion leadership.

Despite the fact that he was only twenty, Lloris immediately hit the starting lineup of the club and in the first season he played 46 games, conceding only 43 goals. In total, in Lion, Ugo Lloris, whose biography was at that moment just incredibly successful, spent four seasons in which he entered the field 199 times, conceding 217 goals. This figure was very outstanding, and already in the French club goalkeeper was able to reach the world level. Naturally, he could not stay long in the weakest and least popular of the five top European championships. Therefore, in the summer of 2012, Lloris signed a contract with the English Tottenham, which became a kind of home for him.

Lyon for this transfer received thirteen million euros, but in addition to financial profits, Lloris also helped the team win the French Cup in 2012, just before their departure.

Playing for Tottenham

Hugo Lloris is a top-class football player, one of the strongest goalkeepers in the world, and he became such in Tottenham. Yes, he became known at the time of the performances for Lyon, but he was able to reach the highest level in England. To date, he spent four seasons for the British club, in which he played 168 matches and missed 192 goals. As for the current season, he is so far one of the best players in his career. He played 25 matches, missed only 19 goals in them, and in ten games he kept his goal intact.

Will Lloris leave Tottenham for a promotion, because here he still has not won a single trophy? The goalkeeper, and part-time captain of the team, answered this question less than a month ago, signing a new agreement with the English club, calculated until 2022.

Performances for the national team

In the French team, Hugo Lloris made his debut in November 2008, when he was only 22 years old. He was called to the national team even earlier, in September, but spent three matches on the bench. For the first time he was given a chance in a friendly match with Uruguay, which he defended “to zero”. From that moment he played in 85 matches for the French team, conceding only 52 goals in them. In 32 of 85 matches, France did not miss. After his debut, Hugo spent some time on the bench, but since the summer of 2009 he began to appear in the starting lineup on an ongoing basis.

He went to the 2010 World Championships as the main goalkeeper, and in November 2010 he tried on the captain's armband for the first time. Since 2012, Lloris was already the permanent captain of the team - in this status he also went to the 2012 European Championships. Lloris was also the main goalkeeper of the French team at the 2014 World Championships, and at home Euro 2016 became one of the main stars. In seven games, he missed only five goals and became one of the key factors that the French team reached the final, where it lost to the Portuguese team.
