This man was born in 1928, July 16, in Tver. His father was Dmitry Nikitovich Dementiev (born in 1901), an agronomist. The mother of the future poet is Maria Grigorievna Orlova (born in 1908). He has three children: Marina Andreevna Demchenko (born in 1954), Natalia Andreevna Dementyeva (born in 1960) and Dmitry Andreevich Dementyev (born in 1969).

Education and first literary activity

While still a schoolboy, Dementiev wrote poems, attended a literary circle. Many years of the life of this poet are connected with the city of Tver (earlier - the city of Kalinin) and in general with the land of Tver. It was here that he was born, here he graduated from high school, after which he studied at the Kalinin Pedagogical Institute.
