Once the first sportswoman of the planet during the game in professional tennis has acquired a lot of personal trophies, including won at the prestigious Grand Slam tournament, but before this result she managed to reach not immediately.
Appearance in world tennis
Serbian tennis player Ana Ivanovich was born on November 6, 1987, and already from the age of five began to seriously take a great interest in tennis, going to a sports school, trying to become the second Monika Seles - her idol. At the age of 13, the young athlete began performing at youth tournaments, which were very confident, but she did not win trophies so often. The first Serbian trophy took in 2002 in the US, a year later she received the status of a professional athlete, and in 2004 she was in the top 700 in the WTA ranking.
In the same year, Ana Ivanovich forced to talk about herself as a very talented and promising athlete - in the junior tournament "Wimbledon-2004" tennis player reached the finals, where she could not cope with the more experienced Katerina Bondarenko. However, for the young Serb, this was a great success, which she consolidated a little later, forcing the hard work of the two-time Grand Slam holder Serena Williams at the tournament in Zurich - the American, in excellent shape, won in two sets, but both times she could only do it tie-break.
In 2005, Ana Ivanovich managed to win her first trophy in world tennis - it happened at the tournament in Canberra, where, after passing the qualification grid, the Serb got to the finals, completing the competition with a confident victory. In 2008, the Serb had a real breakthrough in tennis, due to which her biography was seriously enlarged. However, after a series of successful performances in the career of tennis, there was a serious decline. Due to a series of psychological problems, as well as a couple of minor injuries, Ana Ivanovich could not win a single trophy for the season, slipping by the end of 2009 to the 21st place.
